Well with the bank not being able to get their shhhhhhhh together, I might be on the way to Iowa next Friday when we were planning on meeting up. Would we be alright if we moved it up to Wednesday instead? Either that or just push it back a week.

Doesn't matter. Are we all set on beaver?

For whatever reason I think we should hit Bone Creek. Plenty of fish to be had there...

We've considered Bone Creek before and it could be a good lake but it has some drawbacks. If the fishing is tough there, it's really tough. There's not much to fall back on there versus other lakes where you have several species of fish that guys could go chase if the bass fishing is tough. The roads getting there suck, we lose guys because they aren't going to pull their boats down those nasty dirt roads. If you don't like flipping trees you're gonna have a bad time. Just a few of the reason in the past why it's been shot down but we can discuss it for sure on Friday.

I'm back and we're still on for Friday the 29th if everyone is still in. No need to boat shop anymore, there's one sitting in my driveway now  :respect-059:

2012 Stratos 189 VLO with a 150 Mercury Optimax Pro XS, barely used. We put more miles on the trailer hauling it home than it had on it from the previous owners :)

Looks like I'm not going to be able to make it for this. My dad has ALS and is not doing so well, and he wants to do a trip somewhere this spring. Think we've decided to do a 4 day trip to the Rock and I really can't do two trips within a couple weeks of each other.

So I think we're looking at May 2-3. The original date is the same weekend as Big Bass Bash on LOZ that several guys are wanting to fish. Several guys weren't able to make it so we didn't really get a full vote on a location as of right now the votes are;

Jared, Chris T, Curt, Coty-Grand

Clayton, Peter, Jon, Adam-Beaver

Sizzle-A lake

Chris S-indifferent

Conner, Brian, Drew, Ryan, Cole-out

If you're wanting to go and haven't voted let me know what your vote is. If you voted and decide you aren't going let me know so I can remove your vote. I'm thinking we'll run this through Feb and most votes by then is where we'll go. We have the date set, provided it works for most, so we can get the days off and decide location later.

Has lodging been looked at for both? I know hotels for the Oakley on Grand wasn't too bad last year. ~$50-60/night. Power hookups, and within 5 minutes of Wolf Creek ramp.

There's a bunch of hotels in Rogers, AR where we stayed last time as low as $35 a night. There's also bunches of cabins on or close to the lake that you can get a group to go in on for around $50 a night per person if we wanted to go that route. They're both popular lakes and we're going to be before the big holiday seasons kick off, lodging shouldn't be an issue. There's camp grounds with hookups if you wanted to go really cheap even.

Without knowing the lake well why Rogers? Eureka has tons of great hotels or cabins and beautifull scenery and killer restaurants. We've been going to Eureka for years. We've stayed at a place called Thurmans Lodge a few times. It's about $50 and we could park In front of our room and run a cord out to charge our boats.

If staying in Eureka is an option I'd change my vote to Beaver in a minute!

i know if we stayed in eureka it's closest to the dam and I'd imagine that's as good of a place to start as any?

Im not against staying in Eureka. Plus this could be the swing vote.

No particular reason other than that's where we fished last time and did really well. Close access to the rivers and main lake and it seems like the bigger bass and stripers are caught towards that end. I've also heard the area around the dam is loaded with smallies and I'll be able to run a bit further now so it really doesn't matter to me.

29.1 miles from the Dam to Prairie Creek. It's a 45 min. drive.
