I'm just looking for some modifications that I can do to my kayak to make my fishing experience easier, and more efficient.

Google is great for this. Do a search, then click on

"images" to get a quick picture of mods done by

yak fishermen all over.

More creativity there than just about anywhere.

Like Darren said, Google Images is a great place.

Things I have done are added flush mount rod holders, added Yak Attack Gear Tracks and Zooka Tube rod holders, added anchor trolly's, electronics like Super Nova Lighting, and depth finders, ConSeal for quieting the deck, and for traction when standing, added rudders, modified seats to my liking, and I'm sure many other things I have forgot about.

Milk Crate. One guy in another thread has a really sweet crate set up.

Get out there and fish. You wont know what you need to do on your yak until you get experience. Looking at images only goes so far. You need to see and feel what you need to do. Good luck.

I have. Still don't know what I want to do haha. All I know is that my arms got really tired and I was stressed out...

Longer paddle maybe?

I mean I have a 240 cm bending branches paddle. I'm not weak either.

Concentrate on using the muscles in your core and not just your arms. There are some good videos on YouTube of proper paddling technique.

I wouldn't look for anything until you know what you want.  I always recommend people new to the kayak fishing world to not midday their boats at all until they get a few trips out on the boat.  After one or two trips you will be telling yourself i wish i had this or i wish i could do that.  Your style of fishing will be important as to how you set up your kayak.  I do a lot of fly fishing out of mine and what i want or i have set up would be completely different than most as i need as clean a cockpit area as possible to prevent line snags.

I keep my boat pretty simple...a crate, fish finder, a clan system to hold my stake out pole and a few flush mounts behind my seat and that's about it.

What's a clan system?

The two things you can pretty much count on wanting to do is a crate and an anchor trolley. These two things are hard to do without. Don't go cutting and/or drilling into your boat until you know exactly what you want to do and where you want it.

Search " kayak crate" and search " kayak, removable anchor trolley".

Both these mods can be done in seconds and very cheaply. Add some rod holders to your crate and fish it for a year/season. You will be 100% sure of what you want then.

Your arms will get used to the motion, but you should be paddling more from the core/ torso. Research proper paddling techniques or better yet, have someone show you. It will get better! Welcome to the plastic navy!
