Hey y'all,

I don't post here much, but I have a question and I want to ask the experts. I'm looking for recommendations for a sit on top fishing kayak that I can stand on and fish comfortably. Here's the catch: I can only spend at most about $500-$600. All input is appreciated. Thanks!

Keep an eye out on craigslist. I got a Native Slayer 12 for $600 on CL. BPS has the FS12T that looks like a decent boat.

Craigslist is good for a used yak in your price range.

Brands like Native, Wilderness Systems are well known

in the kayak fishing world.

You could also look at affordable offerings at Bass Pro.

Above all, leave room for a quality PFD (life jacket) and

a good paddle whatever you decide. Always wear your

PFD!

In that price range, and being able to stand you will get better quality going used. Some people no matter what the design of the kayak is cannot stand.

In that price range I love the Ascend sit in yak from BassPro.

Was fortunate to be able to buy the Wilderness 115x but if I was limited I would have bought this.

An FS128T is $750.. It's a little bit out of your range, but it is made to be very stable. If you get this, you will need to make some tweaks to it, like sealing the storage latches so they are waterproof and such. They are well built boats for the price. Also, Craigslist, like others said is good as well. Just be safe when you use it... If something looks to good to be true, it probably is. Good luck!
