Super User Felix77 Posted January 19, 2015 Super User Posted January 19, 2015 Reorganizing tackle, making more jigs from scratch than I will ever use, learning to tie bucktail jigs. In between crying and the occasional fishing show. 1 Quote

Daniel Lin Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 All of the stillwater's been frozen over lately, even down here in VA, but Mossy Creek is just 20 minutes down the road, 42-45 degree spring creek year-round. Some monster brown trout in there, and fly fishing only. Oh wait, this is BASS Resource. I'll just scoot along now.... Quote
SneakySnook Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Glad I live in Florida so I don't have to worry about the winter. Winter in Florida is going out and catching 1-2 fish because the bite is slow. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted January 22, 2015 Super User Posted January 22, 2015 As long as you're pouring....d**n that monkey! He's more like a gorilla then a monkey, and he's a bully too!!! Made me buy 3 reels and 6 S Weavers just this week. Quote

At least in the winter we can catch plenty of bass, best time for it, another month or so I be back inshore fishing. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted January 22, 2015 Super User Posted January 22, 2015 Winter is when I knock the cobwebs off personally. If the water's gonna be hard/fluffy it's still a great source of fun. Boredom is certainly no issue for me here in the North during these cold months. Quote
lectricbassman Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 How dare you tease us down here in oklahoma with your nectar of the gods! Heady topper is on my bucket list. Good to know there are other hop-headed fishermen out there! Quote

Mumbly Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I'm thinking of asking for a booth near the fishpond. Then I pull out a Snoopy pole that I brought in under my coat and bait my hook with corn that I picked out of the fried rice? Anyone else want in? We can make it a tournament. I once saw a guy pull a Popeil pocket fisherman out of his golf bag to fish a stocked trout pond on a golf course. I have now gotten to the point where I have fired up my Wii and have been playing all the fishing games that I have. Forgot that I had so many. Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 honestly, if fishing is the only thing you have for fun then i feel bad for you.... Quote
lectricbassman Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Perusing through the bps catalog to beat the blues and i noticed a review on page 265. Is this yours Hi Salenity???? Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I put new line on my baitcaster and went outside to practice, casting a practice plug in the back yard - in 34 degree temps. Nothing like casting into tree limbs every fourth cast and getting backlashes. lol. Where oh where is spring?!!! Quote
Chris S Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I don't know but I'm pretty sure the owners and customers of the Chinese restaurant would frown on the Black Cats? I'd also bet they would treat me like Raider and chase me out the door with a Ladle! Chinese food a cats in the same sentence! Nice Curt! Gun Range with Ranger Danger lately Quote
Super User FishTank Posted January 25, 2015 Super User Posted January 25, 2015 I hike. I went today and it was nice 40 degrees outside. Not bad for Indiana in January. Heading back out tomorrow for about 5-10 miles. It should be 30 degrees and snow. Perfect weather.... Quote
FrogFreak Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I build lures all winter and research my next purchase. I'm getting another Daiwa Lexa and a new rod this year. But that's all........so far. Quote
