In the market for a scale to weigh the bass that I catch. I'm looking for the most accurate scale, that wont break my bank. Accurate weights are important to me because I fish tournaments. Thanks guys.

I have the Berkley hook scale and it's accurate. I have tested it with a digital postage scale and a scale we have at work for weighing Freon.

It was the same weight as both the other scales.

I have a handheld Berkley that costs $20 that agrees weight-wise with the weights on my $300+ dollar tournament weigh-in scale, as well as  other clubs scales. Good enough for me. If I have two fish that are close in weight I balance beam them to be sure....99% of the time the hand held scale is right.

I've used quite a few different digital scales. They work well and can be very accurate as well. However they seem to have problems frequently and seem to always need new battery's just when you land a nice fish. Last year I broke down and purchased a 15lb boga grip and couldn't be happier. Its very well built and will last a lifetime. Best part..no battery's always ready to go. Whenever fishing with friends they ask me for my boga instead of using there own digital scales. It was a tad over $100 but its well worth it. I feel since chasing my pb is what its all about for me I want an accurate reading in the event I catch one. You can also ship it out to have it certified.

Do yourself a favor and save up a little money and buy a boga it will be the last scale you'll ever buy

...d**n does that sound like I was paid to say that or what hahaha
