when i order fishing stuff (which is all the time) i organize it a certain way. i will take mostly everything out of the bag (unless it comes with scent) and put them in plano boxes according to the type of bait it is, putting worms together, frogs, creatures, and craws etc. because I'm a bank fisherman, i carry way too much with me but with soft plastics ill only carry 5 or 6 and re-stock it when I'm running low.

so i was wondering how everyone stores everything there not using that may be extra

<------- Bank Fisherman also.

I carry relatively minimal with me, in two small plano 3500 boxes, in my little fishing satchel.  Which is more than plenty for the 2-4hrs of the day I have available to fish.  Everything else gets stored in three larger Flambeau 5007 boxes in the garage.  Bags of soft plastics are stored in a 3-drawer unit.

Thats really about it.

Pegboard on hooks is where I keep all my extras.

I keep all my soft plastics in their original bag and the ones i dont use, I put them in big rubbermade tubs based on style.  Straight worms, ribbon tail worms, creatures, etc...   If I were you, I would put a few of the plastics in your plano, keep the rest in the original bag so you remember when you have and what you need to get.  When you need to put more in the box go for it. When you are all out, you have the empty bag to remind you what you need to restock with. Just an idea

I carry a cabelas fisherman bag. It stores 7-3700 stoways and has enough room to store a lot more stuff on the sides.

I condensed all my tackle and put the things I can't live without in there. Everything is in stoways, binders, ziplocks, all tucked away (labeled) on shelfs in my garage.

I started out with a tacklebox, and quickly gave it up. Couldn't stand having to pick it up every second (I move around a lot) and there's slopes where I fish, so it rolled into the water twice. I almost rolled with it :).

I now use a small backpack and love it. I have two plano boxes, a small binder of plastics, and tools. If I was fishing tourneys and lakes, I'd pack more, but there's no need from the bank.

Then, I have ton of worms and panfish equipment that I leave home. Not too much.
