Mr_Scrogg Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 About halfway through Spoonplugging. Man, a lot of stuff is clicking. Stuff that I do wrong. Boat positioning to maximize my casting area, and increase the control I have over the depth and speed. I don't have the emoticons on my mobile, but I'm bowing down, worshipping the knowledge in this book. 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 Thanks, Mr. Scrogg. I'd forgotten about that book. Now there's an abridged interwebs version: http://www.americaoutdoors.com/fishing/features/perry/spoonplug_trip.htm Good stuff!! 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted January 16, 2015 Super User Posted January 16, 2015 What a great line from above: "We know we are doing it right when a limit of good-sized fish (bass, etc.) is caught on consecutive casts" LOL Quote
WolfyBrandon Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Here's some more Buck Perry for you. This show may or may not have aired in your neck of the woods last year. The show wasn't good IMO because the "classroom" part was limited and the host spent too much time/attention filming his kid fishing. He also wouldn't take constructive criticism after he posted on a local fishing forum. Anyway, the info in the "classroom" videos is worth watching. http://structurefishing.com/The_Classroom.html Many thanks for the link Slonezp! I took a bit of the information from the videos and was able to confirm it (twice) when comparing it to my fishing logs for last year. WolfyBrandon Quote
cyclops2 Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 When almost every cast brings in a big bass ? Leave the area immediately !! You are fishing in the breeder hatchery. Quote
