Cory20 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 I put the tabs on with thread, and then wired (26ga) over it. Going to do one of the bajillion easier ways to do it next time. 3/8 oz, waiting on a willow blade I hope the fish don't mind the green back black head too much edit: my take on a golden shiner Quote
flippincrazy Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Thats nice looking. The skirt has a real nice color and pattern to it. I fish a lot of gold colored spinnerbaits. Let us know if it catches fish! ;D Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 looks very nice. have you tried wire tying any jigheads yet? Quote
Cory20 Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 Thanks. I only have a few painted and have done some with thread. I'm still waiting on some rubber skirt collars so I can change out the number of strands and figure out the spacing. It's hard to adjust the pieces when using thread, everything wants to slip everywhere. I'm in the process of building a fluid bed and am heading back to NY for the holidays. I'll finish up there, but 98% of my jigs are still raw lead. Hopefully, come January, I'll have everything set up and ready to go in one easy, fluid process. Cory Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 20, 2007 Super User Posted December 20, 2007 Sexy, golden shiner? Quote
Super User Munkin Posted December 21, 2007 Super User Posted December 21, 2007 Use the rubber skirt collars to but the skrt on first then use thread or wire it is a lot easier. Allen Quote
