Good bait and a good company. Never had an issue with any of their prodcuts and the owner is heckuva nice guy to boot. As long as they are making baits I am buying. The lobster is great for getting bigger bites.

If your looking for the big bite go with the lobster. Fun fishing/trying to get 5 fish go with the craw. Also I exclusively rig the lobster the rage rig way. Caught a couple pigs doing that.

I have absolutely no clue how many fish I've caught with a Lobster behind a jig but it's a lot!

I am indeed preferring a bigger bite.

If you fish the lobster around docks I would fish it rage way because it slows the fall of the bait so much.

I was night fishing with my uncle and cousin. They were catching a bunch of fish (all dinks) on a brush hog and paca craw. I was throwing something else.  Put on a June Bug Lobster, first time trying a lobster. Caught a 5 fish limit in about an hour. They couldnt catch anything. That thing just straight up worked.

If not topwatering I'm throwing a black and blue Lobster at nite

Have you tried the lobster rage rigging?

Never understood why some people prefer to catch "dinks" when fun fishing!

Belly weighted hook with a rage craw or lobster on it. It tends to fall with the bait horizontal with the legs flaring up.

My secret santa got me a pack of these and I've never tried them but this thread has got me excited.

Does anybody punch with these things? I feel like they'd be awesome to hammer through pads with one of Francho's EWG rigs when there's depth below.

Question for you guys using the Rage rig. Do you feel you are getting more bites with the horizontal fall vs. a nose down fall ?

Posted

Scale it depends on the situation in dense weeds no. But when I'm fishing anything else yes, also I think the big ones bite it more they are used to a Texas rig type fall.

I don't have any real "data" to back this up, but I think so. I like the Rage Rig on all of the Rage Tail products, have even carried this technique over to other plastics.

Edit: Whenthe time is right for the rig. Other times I still like a Texas rig.
