fisherrw Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Has any one used this bait and had luck with it? Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Yes. Awesome bait, especially in cool water or suspended bass Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 Great lure for mid-range structure. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 Yes - have had some pretty good days with it, though I tend to throw the shallower diving jerkbaits more frequently on most of my waters. -T9 Quote
Super User Angry John Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 I was just looking at this bait to pick some up. I'm along for the ride on this one. To note there are 3 versions i think and v2 seems to be the most common which is suspending. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 Runs 8-12 deep nose down. They are good baits. The Dobyn's model 90 ss V3 is a slow sink unlike the other two which suspend. They make a saltwater version called a 120 longer in length & three hooks instead of two like the 90 size. If you bed fish they are supposed to be very effective because of the nose down action. 2 Quote
BobP Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 My favorite deep jerkbait. V1 has a slow rise. V2 suspends. V3 has a slow sink. I love the Dobyns V3 in Ghost Chartreuse Shad for clear water. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 5, 2015 Global Moderator Posted January 5, 2015 Great bait when the fish are suspending deeper or not wanting to rise as far to the bait. Quote
