Super User Darren. Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 As a fan of ESPN, I'm saddened by the news Stuart fell to cancer. Enjoyed his reports and commercials. RIP http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/12118296/stuart-scott-espn-anchor-dies-age-49 2 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 RIP Stuart. He really was as cool as the other side of the pillow. 4 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 He fought cancer for a while and mostly under the radar. He will be missed 1 Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 If you haven't seen it, check out the 14 + minute tribute...very emotional. Scott Van Pelt especially had a difficult time. It was obvious Stuart made an impact on his co-workers. Really feel bad for his two daughters...having lost my mother a few months ago, I know the pain, but I am a 51 year old. I believe his daughters are 19 and 14... can't imagine how difficult it is on them. May God Bless Stuart and his family. RIP. 1 Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 Stuart Scott was an icon at ESPN. I have enjoyed his commentary for many years. He will be missed. 1 Quote

Super User A-Jay Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 Very sad news ~ He conducted himself with Class both in front & behind the camera. RIP Mr. Scott. A-Jay 1 Quote
Super User kickerfish1 Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 One of my favorites. Prayers to the family and those in the sports community that knew him. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 4, 2015 Super User Posted January 4, 2015 He was way too young to go. Wouldn't it be great if our government would take some of the billions of dollars in foreign aid, conflicts and social programs and declare war on all cancers? Maybe we could understand it better and find a cure for them all. RIP Stuart Scott. You will always be "one of a kind." 1 Quote
nick76 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 He truly was one of the great ones. His story is that of strength and courage. He lived life fully and his legacy already is showing in those who have spoken of him since his passing. He touched so many. RIP Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Every time he used the phrase "Boo-Yah!" it made me smile. RIP Stuart ... Boo-Yah! Quote

Super User J Francho Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Boo-yah is a Foxy Brown reference. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 He was a class act. He had away of delivering the good and bad sides of sports in a way that had dignity and belief but never an over the top perspective. Reporters of this character are in short supply. He will be missed. 1 Quote

Djf3864 Posted January 5, 2015 Posted January 5, 2015 He really was one of the good guys in the reporting world, never mind just sports world. Still laugh every time I hear the "colder than the other side of the pillow" line. Quote
