There's a Gander Mountain in Charlotesville on 29. Never been inside, but it's a big store.

Hookers in Toano. Get off I-64 at the Toano exit and go into Toano. Look for an ugly yellow building on your left.

Watch your speed as the state police monitor the highway.

Far away from Cumberland but it does exist.

 

Tackle Express on Midlothian Turnpike by Robious Road.

Ask for Craig and tell him Sam sent you and you want the "AJ" discount.

Just head down towards Richmond on Route 60 from Cumberland.

 

Castaways on Jeff Davis Highway about half-mile south of Route 288.

Great Zoom selections. See Lonnie. Great guy who makes crankbaits for our local waters.

Hang a right onto Route 288 and drive about 30 miles to Jeff Davis Highway and turn right onto Jeff Davis and look to your right.

 

Green Top off I-95.

Guys who bass fish work in the fishing department and will talk to you about bass fishing.

Hit I-64 and blend onto I-295 and at the "Fishing Pond" (where I-295 hits I-64) go north on I-95 to exit 86, Elmont.

You can see the store from I-95.

 

Bass Pro Shops off I-95, exit 89.

You know BPS.

You can stay on Lakeridge Parkway (the back way) and go north to BPS.

Or, get back on I-95 north to the next exit, exit 89, and turn left at the top of the exit.

Traffic at this intersection can be dangerous so that is why I always take exit 86 and Lakeridge Parkway.

 

Take the time and look up these places on the Internet; put the addresses in your GPS; and take a tour of all of them one weekend.

 

And don't forget the Richmond Fishing Expo where Green Top will be there along with a bunch of other retailers.

January 16, 17 and 18 at Meadow Farms, the Kings' Dominion Exit, exit 98, off I-95.

You can meet other Virginia anglers and talk to them about tackle shops; gear; baits; MegaStrike; guides; and a lot more.

 

Just watch your speed.

jbo, I made an error regarding Green Top.

At the "Fishing Hole" (what the state troopers call that area so they can make their quotas) it intersects with I-95, not I-64.

 

Just put the Green Top address in your GPS and bring a lot of cash or a credit card.

been to green top plenty of times ive deff seen the state troopers....i might try castaways on my break...ive pasted by tackle express several times just never stopped by their might try that out to since the two are only maybe 30min apart

Gander Mountain on Route 3 heading to Fredericksburg.

 

Craig at Tackle Express has some good deals on rods and reels. Sometimes his prices are lower than the box stores.

 

Hit Castaways and check out their Zoom products and the lines they have.

 

Then hit Hookers in Toano.
