Yea I got cabin fever. All the symptoms are there. Cranky demeanor, constantly scratching my reeling hand, standing at the fish counter at my grocery store just staring at the salmon angrily. Nothing I can do about it but troll the boards and wait till spring.

Do love living south.  Fishing has been amazing here in east Tenn.  Was out a couple days ago and nailed the perch, white bass and yellow bass.  Even got some LMB's.  Smallies have been good ....  very good.

Cabin fever has  set in. Im back on this forum which I have neglected for a long time. LOL.

Thinking about getting the spinnerbait mold out and create some  imaginative lures. Im going to use wire and no hooks. When finished I'll pull the wire out and have a bullet sinker that will hold a skirt.

No cabin fever here...  it's winter in the northeast, but if you have winter hobbies, it's just one more season to look forward to and get excited about.

I just came home from Dick's with a new Eskimo Quickflip1 ice fishing shelter.  The forecast for this week is for COLD weather, and I hope to be out on the ice next weekend, fishing!

Tight lines,

Bob

Yes it is finally driving me nuts.  I've tore down and cleaned 15 baitcast reels and I have 6 more left.  My rod have been wiped and cleaned down (17).  Re-organized and inventoried my tackle 4 times now.  I am anxiously waiting for the shows and sales to show up now.

It's definitely here, but less than you would think. I've been spending a lot of time reading articles and threads on here, and watching videos. I've been focusing on Swimming for the school, and have been getting more time in the water than I ever have which is great. I've been watching for sales, and have been letting a buddy know about the good deals online. Also, I've been spending a lot of time working on cars. I took the FJ Cruiser out and I have replaced the filters, battery, and plugs, as well as changing the oil. I also took it to the shop to get new brakes. I've spent more time in a NAPA auto parts store in the last 3 months than I ever have in my life.  :eyebrows:

Started looking around the house for a place to practice pitching. I know if I brake something I will never hear the end of it. Tried to fish on Monday and gave up three hours in almost frozen. Temps in the twenties my southern blood has me hiding inside.

"Mom always said: don't play ball in the house...."  It's nearly 1/2 way through January already.... Spring will be here soon!

I quashed cabin-fever with a double-whammy:

> I moved to Florida

> I live in a tent

Cabin fever?  Of course not.  I've only reorganized my tackle bag twenty times and I'm going to keep reorganizing it, over an over, till spring!

One good thing - there are a couple of fishing expos/shows that are in February so I'm already looking forward to those.
