gopro 4 silver

I SECOND THAT.  there is a reason go pro is the best in the industry.  Go Pro silver 4 is what i just bought and when you add the "sportsmen mount' that allows you to mount the go pro to your rod, gun , bow, etc.  its gold.  plus the camera shoots up to 4k resolution, and you can get 120 FPS in 720 and 240 FPS in WVGA.  you can set it to burst mode for pics or just as a regular old camera.   PLUS you can stick the thing underwater.  nuff said

Well I went to Best Buy today and found the Canon Powershot Sx520 HS marked down from $400 to $200 it is not waterproof which was fine because I only wanted that to take underwater shots of fish, but it is not a deal breaker. I played around with it and and looked up some reviews on my phone and seemed to be pretty good so I bought it. From some of the other features of it, it had seemed it would also be good for other uses. Thanks for all the recommendations every one!!

This is the camera I got if anyone is interested: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/canon-powershot-sx520-hs-16-0-megapixel-digital-camera-black/7719029.p?id=1219286766552&skuId=7719029

Canon powershots are the best , ive owned like 5 , i still have one from 2001 that still works today.  good buy , but get a go pro hero 4 seriously

If you have a smart phone look into getting a good waterproof case. Much cheaper and user friendly. Plus it will cut down on stuff to bring.

Good choice. Get one of the black flexible tripods , that are about 5 inches long and will fit in a shirt pocket. Use the cameras timer and you will get some outstanding photos of you and your catch. I will be purchasing another one in the next year.Ihave the Cannon sx260hs. I dont usually purchase the extra warranty but its a good idea when buying a camera that is not waterproof but is going to be used a lot near the water. LOL
