Balshy Fishing Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 For starters, I don't think i've posted on here in about 4 months so it feels good to be back and read some stuff again. I went out today on the Susquehanna for about an hour and no dice. I threw a yellow twister tail and a spook on the top. Anybody have any tips on what to use and what not? I know the theme is to work slow but I just like more information. Quote
nastynate Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Find the winter holes. Guys still catching 45-60 fish a day. 1 Quote
PAGreg Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Not sure where you're at but the suskie here (north branch) is running mighty high and looks like chocolate milk. Quote
Catch 22 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 1/8 oz black hair jigs in slack water eddies. 1 Quote
adam32 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I'd put the topwaters away and fish a hair jig, tube, or erie darter. Don't be afraid to let it sit on the bottom 30 seconds or even more without moving it. 1 Quote
Super User Munkin Posted December 31, 2014 Super User Posted December 31, 2014 An actual fishing thread with useful information in it, I knew this day would come! All the replies above are spot on with what I have found. Small hair jigs or 2 1/2" tubes fished slow enough to be live bait in deeper areas. Allen 2 Quote
