Texas Hawg Hunter Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 For Xmas I got an Abu Garcia Revo SX reel and a 7 ft. St. Croix meduim-heavy rod. This is replacing a baitcaster rod/reel that I have had since the early 90s. I am totally blown away at how much more smoothly and farther this set up casts, especially my light weight lures like squarebills and weightless plastics. Very eye opening to the difference quality equipment makes...my old rod was also a medium-heavy. Quote
