Super User Raul Posted December 25, 2014 Super User Posted December 25, 2014 When ? Whenever you want, it makes no differnce at all, actually I prefer smoke to clear because I can see it better. Quote
jbo225 Posted December 25, 2014 Author Posted December 25, 2014 the conditions i ment...so basically its a preference thing?? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 25, 2014 Super User Posted December 25, 2014 Smoke blends almost perfectly with stained water (Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers specifically). Quote
ChrisWi Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I feel like it almost acts like sunglasses when underwater. When the sun hits clear line it gives off a glare under the water. The smoke mutes it a bit. Same concept with green line. Quote

Super User HoosierHawgs Posted December 26, 2014 Super User Posted December 26, 2014 Just another personal preference thing.... Basically everything in fishing is. I prefer a colored line (generally Low Vis Green) because I can see it better. Quote
Super User Angry John Posted December 26, 2014 Super User Posted December 26, 2014 Use it in the same conditions you would run strait braid Quote
5fishlimit Posted December 26, 2014 Posted December 26, 2014 I use clear, smoke and green color. The smoke line is the better choice for my eyes when line watching a weightless senko. If fishing gin clear water it might not be the first choice, but the waters in NE Ohio usually have some stain to them. I had never heard of, or seen line in a smoke color until I found a 1lb spool of YoZuri Hybrid in 10#. I'm so happy I jumped on that! Quote
