hands down the best shaky head setup for smallmouth is an Arkie U-Joint ball head with a strike king 3x worm. this is a floating worm and when its matched with that jointed finesse swivel jig head the action is unreal and so natural. even when deadsticked the worm floats straight up and any water movement makes that tail shake and fish especially smallmouths cannot stand it. its without a doubt the best sight fishing bait i use for big smallmouths. and its a very inexpensive rig to fish

I always have this rigged and laying on the deck of my boat and if i spend any time at all fishing it i promise ill catch fish with it

I like the VMC Rugby heads, with wither a Havoc Bottom hopper, or the small pit boss

Zman floating wormz. Best action You'll ever experience on a shaky head.

Any one use owner Shakey worm?

I have not used the Owner Shakey Worms yet, but I hope I like them because I just ordered a whole bunch of them from TW.

Usually I just use Zoom Shakey Head or Finesse Worms on Owner Ultrahead Shakey Head Jigs. Pretty much any color, usually involving Green Pumpkin or Watermelon. I'm not super picky.

Everyone will have their own opinion but I really like the Keitech Tungsten Shakey Head.

Thanks for your tip Bluebasser86.  Going to have to try the Stik-O.  I have yet to catch anything on a shakeyhead, 2015 I'm determined to start catchin' on them.  What colors do you use?

Watermelon purple flake is hands down my favorite but I did catch my biggest shakyhead smallmouth on green pumpkin chartreuse tail. I catch a lot of largemouth on a black/blue flake one on a shakyhead too.

Sweet thanks for the tip.  I actually have the Green Pumpkin Cht tail.  I've caught a lot of Largies with that one.  I may have the black/blue flake.

Megastrike E2 Pro, VMC Rugby, I use a Zoom worm on the Megastrike, and Pit Boss on the VMC, I also like the Missle Baits Crazy Craw on either, or Carolina Rigged.
