pennix5 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 have anyone had the chance to hold one of the new berkley e-motion rods just wondering they look nice Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted December 23, 2014 Super User Posted December 23, 2014 I have not held one, but I have owned several of Berkley's rods, and would not hesitate to buy one. We spoke about them and good opinions were given about them in the thread on best cranking rod for under $120 Quote
pennix5 Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 yeah i have fished with other berkley rods just wondering if this rod is going to be just as good as other rods in that price point $80 price Quote
mjseverson24 Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I like the way they look, they appear to have a very minimalist design which i like, but I am skeptical of the blank material... it s hard to compete for sensetivity with the ***, Compre, Veritas, carbonlite and Bucoo that are in a similar price range... Super User new2BC4bass Posted December 24, 2014 Super User Posted December 24, 2014 The E-Motion is one of the rods suggested when I asked a friend about low cost rods. Seems a friend of his who uses high-end gear only got one for his son. His friend was impressed with the rod. Personally I'd like to at least handle one in a store, but don't know of any close by that carry them. It is always nice to find a decent quality rod at a low price. That is why I love my Smallmouth rods. Worth way more than I paid for them. Quote
pennix5 Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 i want to hold one to but there only to places that carry them *** and berkley Quote
pennix5 Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 I'm about to try one out guys I will write a review and do a video on YouTube 1 Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted December 24, 2014 Super User Posted December 24, 2014 I will be sure to watch it. I love my Berkley rods, and would love to try another one. I need to do reviews on mine. (I have 2 Lightning Rods, 2 Cherrywood HD's, 1 Lightning Shock and 1 Amp Spinning) They are great for the money. Quote
Trace Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 I still have a 7ft mh lightening shock i throw frogs on. Does well and is cheap. Haven't seen or handled the new ones though Quote
Big Swimbait Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Can;t speak for the casting models but I bought the M spinning rod for finesse fishing that I am trying to convince myself to do more. Very light, sensitive & seems very well made. I bought mine using the TW holiday discount "just in case" I didn't like it. No worries with that - I would repeat. Quote
