papajoe222 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Two techniques come to mind immediately, dead sticking and C-rigs. It's more of a love/hate thing with C-rigs, because it's a productive technique for me. Dead sticking is like bobber watching. The only time I do it is when I'm with someone else in their boat, never in mine. Quote
travis23 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 That would most definaty be a Senko. Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 For me it's anything with treble hooks because they can be so dangerous plus they stick/get stuck to almost everything they touch. I'm really not a fan of crankbaits either. As someone else said, I find them a little boring, casting them out and winding them in. I know, you can stop and go and supposedly bounce them off things in the water, I still find them boring. I find spinnerbaits almost as boring too. I guess the one reason I consider spinnerbaits my second main lure next to soft plastics is because spinnerbait are somewhat weedless. Nothing matches the fun of soft plastics. Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I've fished lots of split shot fishing but not real Carolina rig fishing. I'm shocked to see so many people saying the Carolina rig is their least favorite rig. I thought the Carolina rig is one of the greatest and most effective rigs to use for bass? Quote

ChrisWi Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Jerkbaits, even though i catch fish on them my wrist is so shot by the end of the day it's not even worth it most of the time. Quote
Fisher-O-men Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 The one that isn't working. This is the definitely the one! The one that is not catching fish! Seriously, I don't care to fish extremely deep. Taking a chance of killing the fish, bringing them up. 1 Quote
Blues19 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 C Rig, followed by jerkbait fishing, then dead sticking, and finally those wacky rigged senkos. But I continue to push through and hope for the best even though they aren't my preferred ways of fishing. I would agree with all of these Quote

Got ya already If I don't like to fish something or I don't have confidence in it, I'm not gonna fish it in a tournament. Under pressure like that is not exactly the time to experiment. I prefer to have a game plan, similar to the way Anthony Gagliardi fishes l, rather than run and gun Quote
Preytorien Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I don't like spinnerbaits. I always feel I'm fishing them wrong/too fast. If I'm throwing a spinnerbait you can bet I've tried everything else and heaved it out there as a last-chance prayerbait. 2 Quote

If I'm throwing a spinnerbait you can bet I've tried everything else and heaved it out there as a last-chance prayerbait. I don't think there is a wrong way to fish one. Just figure out the cadence the fish want. I usually start out searching with a spinnerbait. You can chuck them just about anywhere, they are practically weedless. Quote
fisherrw Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Senkos they are productive but take soooooo long to sink. Quote
