*Hank Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 How do you wacky rig your senkos? I have just been sticking the hook right into the worm but I've lost tons of them doing that!... So how do you guys do it any pics? Thanks for any info!... Quote

Super User Darren. Posted December 21, 2014 Super User Posted December 21, 2014 Lots of wacky rigging info on the site - do a search for more. In the mean time, 95% of the time I rig right through the worm around the egg sack, I lose some, but not enough to cause me worry. On some I've slid on some shrink wrap and slide the hook through it. Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted December 21, 2014 Super User Posted December 21, 2014 2 o-rings crossed so hook sticks out 2 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted December 21, 2014 Super User Posted December 21, 2014 Heat shrink wrap ( electrical ) for better durability. I do it for senkos and trick worms... Some guys use "o" rings, some even use tiny zip ties. 1 Quote
ClackerBuzz Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 i got it bookmarked for just such an occasion http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/142538-the-secret-to-not-losing-so-many-senkos-heres-the-solution/ 1 Quote
Tony L. Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I bought an o-ring tool for about $5. Seems to make them last quite a bit longer. Small pieces of electrical tape might also do the same thing. I remember someone on here once suggesting that you can also use a small section of a clear plastic drinking straw. Cut it open lengthwise, and it will still curl and hold the original shape. You can wrap it around the Senko and shove your hook through. Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 21, 2014 Super User Posted December 21, 2014 Sent PM. Merry Christmas! Quote
MichiganBass80 Posted December 21, 2014 Posted December 21, 2014 I usually just go through the senko with the hook. I did recently pickup some of those Eco Pro Tungsten weights to try out. I bought the 1/32oz so they add a little bit a weight but not much, and give me something to put the hook through. 1 Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted December 22, 2014 Super User Posted December 22, 2014 I usually just go through the seance with the hook. Do you take the hook to a witch doctor? Or, DIY with a Ouija board? I'd guess you need to take the worms, too, though....it convinces them to stay on the hook? Sorry....Senko threads make me a little loopy Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted December 22, 2014 Super User Posted December 22, 2014 .... O-ring. ... Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted December 22, 2014 Super User Posted December 22, 2014 My favorite solution for that problem is the Eco Pro Tungsten Pro Wacky Weights. They add some life to your senko style baits. I use 1/32 oz for 4" baits and 1/16 oz for 5". The other thing I like about them is it adds a little weight so the bait sinks just slightly faster but not so much that it overpowers the bait. I tried them a few years ago and was impressed with them, and now I don't fish without them. Quote
plural_of_fant Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 Pour my own. Hook right through and forget about it. Quote
PersicoTrotaVA Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 I used to hook the worm, now I use a black or red O-ring. Is the search function broken? Quote
TrapperJ Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 i used the O-Rig worked great, than i came across the wacky saddle. i like it even better! Quote
