I feel beyond blessed to have caught the fish of a lifetime today. This is why I fish, and it makes all those days of bad weather and bad fishing worth it. She weighed 10 lbs. 1 oz. on the tournament scale at weigh in and on the scale in our boat. This is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life!

Congrats on the new PB. Give us more details. We want to hear the whole story. Lake,Lure, rod, reel, line and how it jumped 15 times and almost got wrapped in the trolling motor! Lol.

Congrats again! Beautiful fish!

Thanks Jeff! It was on Pickwick Lake, I was throwing an a-rig on a 7'6" heavy/modfast Tigerodz custom rod and Shimano Curado 200G6 with 25 lb. P-Line CXX. I set the hook and it felt like a stump for a couple seconds then it took off. We have a bunch of saltwater stripe (average about 20 lb) here so I really thought that's what it was when it started fighting but after about 10 seconds or so she came to the top and never jumped, then my partner netted her. Personally I am glad she didn't jump so she wouldn't throw the hook.

Awesome!  I consider Pickwick my home lake.  Not many DD's come out of there each year, and I have't come close there!  HAHA!  Congrats!
