I used my setup 90% of the time for senkos because I fish it a lot. Howevery there are days where you need to get under the weeds for bottom contact so I do use this setup for light Trig as well.

I've been using a 6'6" rod that I built on a Baston med blank and a Daiwa Sol spooled with 10lb. Yozuri.

I fish a Senko the majority of my fishing time, I flip, pitch and even punch with Senko's and it is one of the best punching baits I've ever used but for just throwing a Senko weightless T-rigged I've finally, after many years, found what is in my mind the perfect Senko Rod. I am Senko fishing with a Duckett White Ice 7'1" Medium Heavy rod and Daiwa Tatula type-r reel with 15# Seaguar Fluorocarbon. This rod is fan-freaking-tastic for Senko's. I like this rod even more than my Megabass Orochi XX for throwing Senko's.

I use these rods for other techniques too but 95% of the time they are rigged up with a Dinger.

Spinning: St. Croix Legend Tournament Bass 6'8" M/XF "Wacky Style" rod. I've got a Abu Garcia Revo Premier 30 spooled up with 6lb. Berkley Trilene XL  Fluoro. I use this one mainly with 4" senko style baits with a 1/32 oz Eco Pro Tungsten Pro Wacky Weight.

Casting: St. Croix Legend Xtreme 6'6" M/F. For the reel I've got a Quantum Exo spooled with 12lb Berkley Triene 100% Fluoro. I usually throw my 5" weightless on this setup.

7' M Veritas spinning rod with a Stradic 2500 rell with 15 pound braid. Been using this arrangement for years and its a fine set up. The Veritas M is close to most MH rods.

Gary Yamamoto recommends spinning gear for Senkos so I tried it and much prefer spinning gear over baitcasting for Senkos.

And if the Senko flies off during a cast there is no backlash to deal with.

I use a Mojo tube/grub rod, straight 20lb power pro. I can feel the smallest tick bites with it and it has the perfect amount of backbone and action for skipping and dragging big fish out of cover (in my opinion).

This is coming from a tackle snob. I've caught all of my biggest fish on this rod using a senko.
