What bait were you using in the second video? They were on it quickly.

Swimjigs, Spinnerbaits and rage craws, all reeled at a quick pace, they were into moving baits

Throw those swimbaits!

I have been, they haven't been getting bit as much, I threw some plastic swimbaits on owner beast hooks and had a few hits, had one almost hooked but they just grabbed the back end

I did get one on the River2Sea S Waver, its a glide/swimbait, so it counts lol

The 168 definitely counts and it murders them once you learn the bait.

Even though I live in the area I never fish golf courses. just not around before the golfers get there, but today was different.  I didn't go out to the ocean this morning fished a golf pond at sunrise instead, caught several real nice bass on top water.  That is not the interesting part, what made this day good was I caught peacocks.  I haven't seen peas in West Delray in 5 years, I was surprised.  I caught them right near where Welds fishes in a canal.  I stopped at an area of a canal that I had never been before, caught a few decent bass then I caught a pea.  Had a couple of other hits that I'm sure were peas, too much debris in the water so I moved.  Same canal 1/2 mile away, first cast was pea than a few more.  In total caught about 7 or 8, not big but with peas there always can be a larger one around.  Bite stopped and that was that.

No offense but those 15-17" bass sound a bit underweight for their length. Muat have been somenskinny ones.

Welds are you including in your data collection the times, temp, moon phases, etc.? (Ambient temps) Should be rather easy to incorporate this into your records, in a few years you may wish you had.

I have a conditions section where i put time, temperature, cloud cover, water clarity and water depth. No moon phases though..

Great evening today! The big ones were 5lb 2oz and 3lb 8oz. Caught them on a new plastic also. The Big Bite Baits 4" Kriet Kreature.. I already am in love. Bought for $1.48 for a pack of 10 on tackle warehouse. They still are $1.48, you guys better buy them quick because i am buying them out of stock :eyebrows: .

I rigged it on a 4/o gamakatsu ewg worm hook, and a 3/8 oz tungsten bullet weight. I cast it out, let it sink, jig it up, let it sink, jig it up, and repeat. Bounced it off the bottom and the fish could not resist it for a second. I intially started fishing with soft plastic swim baits and spinnerbaits but the bass kept swiping and grabbing the back end. I do have a trailer hook on my spinnerbait but i think they were just hitting the blades or something because i had no hookups. Once i switched to the Kriet Kreature, things changed, the bass were eating them.

I also have a story that makes me cringe and makes me really mad. While fishing today i came across a grandfather and his grandson fishing with their walmart combo rod and a walmart shad swimbait thing. So the boy hooked into a nice fat bass, probably about 3 lbs or so, and when he pulled it to shore he asked his grandfather to get the fish, and the grandfather said "just lift it by the line" the boy hesitated and said he didnt want to hurt the fish, but grandpa insisted. So the boy begins to lift the poor fish by the monofilament line and SNAP the line breaks and the fish swims away with a swimbait in his mouth. This made me soooo mad i was going to say something to the grandfather but i felt like its not my place... UGH i was so mad and i still am....I wanted to take that stupid walmart combo and snap it in two, and then give the old man a lecture on how to properly treat fish... lol I was very unhappy.

Yesterday I was struggling to figure out what they really wanted, until i tied on a zoom fat albert grub, that i had bought last winter on clearance at DSG but had never used before. Caught a total of 14 bass, including a 4lber. I am now obsessed with grubs
