okbassguy Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 I just got a shimano curado I and was wondering how you guys have your breaks set Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted December 19, 2014 Super User Posted December 19, 2014 They should have 2 already set... I run mine with two on... External, typical 1 or 2, adjust as needed for gusty days, etc.. Never needed to run just one internal myself, some guys do though you can get good additional braking from the external dial. Good choice... Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 19, 2014 Super User Posted December 19, 2014 Depends on the bait and the wind. With something like a lipless crank and little wind, I'll use 1 internal and whatever external I need. Other baits and/or more wind, I'll use 2 internals and then usually minimal external. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted December 19, 2014 Super User Posted December 19, 2014 Internal 2, external 1. Good to go. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted December 19, 2014 Global Moderator Posted December 19, 2014 2 & 2 Mike Quote
rangerjockey Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Internal 2. external, whatever the bait and conditions dictate . Quote
bootytrain Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Depends on the lure I'm throwing. If its heavy and aerodynamic 1 on and 1 on the dial. Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted December 19, 2014 Super User Posted December 19, 2014 Internal 1, external usually around 1.5-2.5 depending on wind. Quote
