Strike Pro Lures. Are They Quality? Looking To Buy Some Good Glide Baits $20 & Lower.

I was hoping some of the fisherman here could help me out with finding some affordable glide baits in the 168mm range and smaller. In a perfect world they would all be the size of the River2sea Wide Glide which is 120mm, but I notice Strike Pro has a few that are 4" and one that is 2.5. I was wondering if the 2.5" actually glides? I am looking to find a few glide baits in the $20 and under range, I am not a fan of the S waver, even though I really like River2sea, I know Bomber Makes the Herky Jerky which I have always used for Stripers but I am thinking that some lures out their are glide baits but I am not seeing them since many companies do not advertise them as such.

 

I was always under the impression Strike Pro was standard quality similar to all the Pradco lures meaning they are good lures at a good price point, but I see Strike pro is charging $20 for smaller glide baits and $10 for small cranks which sounds high unless they stepped up quality recently. 

 

Is Megabait still making Hardbaits or are they out of business because I know most of the stuff on Ebay is fake since many companies in China will package lures and put them in Megabait and Daiwa packaging...

 

Any input on good glide baits is appreciated, just realized I can use them for bass and apparently they are not used to seeing them around my area of Florida because they killed em the other day and the wide glide out fished any walking lure 4/1....

The R2Sea S Waver is within your price point.

The Rapala Husky jerk glides good with suspend dots and rear feathered treble hook added.

2, 1 in front and behind the front treble or cut 1 in half depending on the size.

You make a low rod tip sweep and pause for a few seconds, reel up the slack and replete, a slow motion jerk bait retrieve.

Savage Gear Slide Swimmer is another good, cheaper option for a glide bait.

I don't know many that are under $20. They are already mentioned but the savage gear glides are ok and the river2seas s-wavers 168 are great baits. You also might be able to find a deps 115 for around $20 maybe. The river2seas wide glide is not a jointed bait like the ones you see for bass fishing. Those are designed as musky baits and there are actually tons of them and can be had for cheap in comparison. I have a wide glide and that's a big bait although I am not sure the size 10-12" I think and cost more then $20.

The husky jerk is just a jerk bait really. They are a staple bait for walleye around here.

The wide glide is 120mm so barley bigger than a 100mm Sammy, that is why I like it..Bomber makes the Herky Jerky and Herky Jerky Jr. which are glide baits form Musky, Rapala GLidin Rap, Megabait and Joe bucher, Reaction strike has some glides that are not that expensive, I have not had success with the s-waver which is 168mm, larger than the wide glide, I just fished it for first time last week and my buddy was visiting from NY and he is a big Striper, Musky, Pike guy so he had a ton of glides, and I like the Wide glide 120 which is smaller, and I love it. The floater and suspender are really good, problem is the smaller baits like the strike Pro motion buster and others, are tough to make glide, as you need weight and momentum, so I have been messing around with manipulating the Rapala Subwalks, Sebile ***, and I just moved the Herky Jerky Jr which is the size of an average bluegill, and Glidin rap which is size and color of big shiner and not expensive...They actually glide awesome, the S-waver is a weird bait, I must have gotten 2 bad ones, I can't get them to glide but from what I have been told  and read, it is like any plastic lure that is mass produced, a 1/3 or 25% and up are never going to be right since they are mass produced out of plastic, that hinge and weighting is so important, I think the hinge is not right on the ones I have because it glides like crap, but I am sure will work if I slow roll it.

 

Musky and Pike guys used to tell me they would catch smallmouth and largemouth all the time on the huge 8-10' glide baits and that is up north. I would think that if you are fishing a 6-10" swimbait, the big suick glides will be fantastic, new look, I like using big lures this time of year anyhow, especially on top, I actually read an article on how to balance soft baits to glide and you can get a mag trick worm or sluggo to glide a good 2' if balance right and it has been working but then again I am fishing in Bathtubs loaded with hungry pre-spawn bass that will hit almost anything, I sometimes forget how tough it is until I get back on the big boy lakes....For 9.99 the wide glide is awesome, River2sea website has a few tutorials on how to fish it for bass, both floater and suspending, I am ordering a few this week since I don't like the colors I have and they are the older one's with paint on outside, new ones have it inside and won't chip. Good deal, River2sea has some good stuff...Strike Pro I don't know, the videos make stuff look good.
