I've been procrastinating again.  Gotta have these two done and delivered before Christmas eve, so I knocked out a couple grips this weekend.

Sweet. Love the cork work and look.

The Purple and dark burl compliment one another nicely. I've used some purple anodized trim before and liked it. It doesn't come off as overtly girly or feminine even though it was on a lady's rod.

Hey Scott beautiful work man. What do you think of that 3s60lf? I was thinking of picking up the 3s66lf for a light smallmouth rod. You think it's got enough back bone to set the hook on 1/8 exposed jigs?

This is the second 3s60lf I've built. I'm not sure I'd want to use it for smallies. I'd probably bump up to the ML.

Small creek fishing you might get away with it, but in general I agree that ML is a better choice.

Very nice work. I would love to see how that's done on video.

You do have a gift with cork, not to mention Rod building in general. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Thank you. I really like to do something special with the cork when people give me the opportunity. I'm kinda stuck on what to do on my 3 SCV builds. They all will be Tennessee grips. The dropshot rod will be a split Tennessee. I THINK the other two will be full grips so I can do some inlays.
