Looking to compete in my first tournament in 2015 does anyone have any information on amateur tournaments in the north east?

Thanks

I suggest looking at any local clubs and checking their schedule for any open tournaments, or join the club, it's a great way to learn. Another way would be to go to a marina and ask about it. There is a few marinas on waters here that have buddy tournaments or lunker tournaments that are open to any angler. Hope this helps!

I've fished a few of these and think they are a nice starting point. They are professional and well run but smaller than most opens so not too many competitors. Still tough competition, which is what you want anyway.
