Super User F14A-B Posted December 12, 2014 Super User Posted December 12, 2014 I should add in the price arena, so I don't get flamed... Quote
Super User aavery2 Posted December 12, 2014 Author Super User Posted December 12, 2014 I should add in the price arena, so I don't get flamed... Good call, I have one of the Red Ltd edition Tatulas, but I like the blue better. Quote
Super User Raul Posted December 12, 2014 Super User Posted December 12, 2014 Hehe, well I know this.. That reel is smokin anything shimano, seems like everyone is using the Tat's except me! Time to start don´tcha think ? I´m a Shimano fan, actually I own more Shimanos than Daiwas but one has to admit that below $120 Daiwa beats the living schnitz out of anything Shimano has to offer. 1 Quote
fisherrw Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 next year if he wins mabey they should consider giving him a steez Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted December 12, 2014 Super User Posted December 12, 2014 next year if he wins mabey they should consider giving him a steez He fished with Tatula combos so that's probably why that's what they gave him. Also,my tatula gets used way more than my steez. It's has a bit too much hype following it. Quote

In the past the only thing that kept me from buying Daiwas was the cost when comparing apples to apples. It's looking like that tide has turned. Quote

The link up top will take you the specifics, has a few more bearings than the Type R and comes in an 8.1 gear ratio. 1 Quote

I like the blue better than the red on the type R, may have to look into one of these. Quote

It wasn't that long ago that everyone was saying you needed to be north of $250 to get a decent Daiwa. Personally never believed that as I have a Procaster 100HN that listed for about $80 (paid $30 on closeout), and I think it is a good value at more than the list price even if it isn't light like today's reels have to be. 1 Quote

SenkoGuru Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Daiwa knocked this one out of the Park. I'm just like the rest of the fishermen here and have so many reels to fish that it is crazy and the one reel I am reaching for time and time again is my Tatula Type-R. I LOVE that reel.. Quote
bass1980 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 That's a Tatula combo in his hand. And again a Tatula with a Dt crank. Looks like a Steez EX to me. Video at 1:24. You can tell because it's not black, it's the steez color of the off gunmetal. Quote

Grantman83 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 He was using both if I remember when warning the vids. STEEZ with his Livingston and Tatula with the Rapala Quote
bass1980 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 That picture speaks for itself. Obviously a Steez. Quote
