Weld's Largemouth Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Anyone ever do this? I have never used it like this yet, but i don't see why it wouldn't work: Quote
lordpaxin Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 It kinda defeats the purpose of a toad Skin it and make it weed less 1 Quote
Super User Solution gardnerjigman Posted December 11, 2014 Super User Solution Posted December 11, 2014 Looks like a day of cussing to me. That hook will land down almost every cast and snag every thing it comes across. 4 Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted December 11, 2014 Super User Posted December 11, 2014 Where I fish frogs that just wouldn't work. Like mentioned above if you just skin hook it its gonna have the same hook set but be weedless, an open hook isn't gonna help much more. 1 Quote

One issue though, if i put the hook in like how you would with a T rig then it is very close to the botto and forced in, meaning its very easily slipping out Quote
boostr Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Stick the point in the corn hole... Weedless. Quote

Those look like the ribbits, my buddy uses a 3/0 EWG for those. I use hornet toads with a 4/0 EWG and rage toads with a 5/0 EWG. 1 Quote

A 3/0 from most company's would be a good size. Quote
travis23 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Looks good for open water situations. Quote
Super User Gundog Posted December 12, 2014 Super User Posted December 12, 2014 I would use it rigged in the original picture only if I'm fishing open water. Otherwise, everyone is right...get a smaller hook and skin-hook it! Quote
