Super User buzzed bait Posted December 11, 2014 Author Super User Posted December 11, 2014 i've got most of the bases covered on everyone's suggestions with the exception of the ghost minnow and from the sounds of things i'm missing the boat!!! really glad i asked though, now i'm on the hunt for some ghost minnow 78s Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 11, 2014 Super User Posted December 11, 2014 Skip the 78, and get a 100 or bigger. Seriously. Quote
ColdSVT Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Skip the 78, and get a 100 or bigger. Seriously. I like the 78 over the 100 only when its really cold water My fave all around LC however is the slender pointer Quote

Seriously. i have both, but really feel like i get more bites on the 78s. i admittedly don't fish jerkbaits a whole lot so my experience doesn't much count.... are you catching more on the 100s or just better size fish vs the 78s? 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 11, 2014 Super User Posted December 11, 2014 I catch more on 100s because I fish them more often. I generally catch better fish on the larger baits. I have a few 78s, but they're for perch and walleye. My most productive jerkbait is a JDM Flashminnow. 110 in MS Am. Shad: No hatin' on my warm hat! Quote

bassboy107 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 i just got some real good deals on luckycrafts today at a local tackle shop. All luckycraft jerkbaits were parked down to between 7-9 dollars. Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 14, 2014 Global Moderator Posted December 14, 2014 I'm also a fan of the 78 over the 100, they just catch way more fish for me and plenty of big fish. The 97MR Slender Pointer is my overall favorite though. Quote
Catch 22 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 78 ghost is my workhorse.100 aurora brown does very well too. After reading here I should give the American Shad more time. Thanks C22 Quote
