Preytorien Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 A friend of mine was at an auction the other day, and picked me up a "fish finder" as he called it. Turns out it's a Humminbird Sixty. Looks pretty old to me. I'm not very knowledgeable about electronics as 90% of my fishing tends to be from the banks. So I don't know anything about this thing. It doesn't look like any fish finder I've ever seen. What would I use it for? Any info would be helpful. Keep in mind, I know basically nothing about electronics other than what I've seen on TV shows and stuff. Quote
Super User Wayne P. Posted December 10, 2014 Super User Posted December 10, 2014 That may be the Super 60 flasher. It is the technology that was first used for recreational sonar and some still use it instead of the LCR display models. Very popular with the ice fishing crowd. Some prefer it to LCR units for high speed navigation. Some current LCR units have a simulated flasher view like this from my Humminbird 798ci SI: Quote
