Bass Fishing The Lehigh Canal??

Has anyone ever fished the Lehigh Canal? I read some one report of people catching bass in weissport and walnutport but couldn't find any other information. Has anyone ever fished the canal and done well??

Though I have never fished that canal, I have fished a canal in Harrisburg and down well. Canals can be great places since they are often overlooked by bass anglers. The best way to find out would be to go dunk some line in it lol.

I fish that canal with good results although it's the southern most part (near the end) it has produced very nice numbers for any type of fish that you would find in the lehigh and its a playground for very smart carp.

Long as the canal sections don't get drained a lot during the year (like my section did, and they butchered the spawning among other things) you should find fish.
