Super User *Hootie Posted December 6, 2014 Super User Posted December 6, 2014 I recently renewed my subscription to BASS and about 10 days ago, I received my renewal packet. It contained: 1:Booyah pad crasher 1:Rebel pop r 1:Xcalibur cs100 crankbait 1:Smithwick suspending rogue 1:300 yd spool of Trilene XT Today, I just received the same packet minus the Trilene. Question: Should I tell them that they sent me an extra packet, or tell them they forgot my spool of Trilene...lol. Hootie Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted December 6, 2014 Super User Posted December 6, 2014 I'd check my credit card statement first. Won't surprise me if you paid twice 1 Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 6, 2014 Super User Posted December 6, 2014 Wow - when did they start (perhaps I should say resume) sending out goodies? I've been a member on this go-around for 6 years and only got the little tackle bag on the first year and then a decal on subsequent renewals. I mentioned "resume" sending out goodies as I was first a member of B.A.S.S. back in 1968 ('69?) and they occasionally sent out a lure to the members (field testing so to speak). My Dad is a charter member and thought it was a good deal and bought a membership for me just after the charter membership period closed. I renewed the membership once and then went on to other life events. Still have the patch they sent me in '68/69... Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted December 6, 2014 Author Super User Posted December 6, 2014 I'd check my credit card statement first. Won't surprise me if you paid twice No, didn't get charged twice. They can't do that anyway, because I keep a separate debit account just for online purchases. Whenever I buy anything on line, I transfer just enough money to complete the purchase. If it turns out bad, they can't get me for anymore money than I was prepared to spend anyway. Hootie Quote

Goose, until this year all I have ever gotten was a hat or one of those little tackle bags everyone seems to want. Hootie Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted December 6, 2014 Super User Posted December 6, 2014 I'd contact customer service about it, but I highly doubt they'll make you send it back or anything. Enjoy those baits! (Senior special?? ) 2 Quote
MassBass Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I never got my tackle bag. I noticed in the latest issue there wasn't a lunker club page, thats one of my favorite segments. Quote

hoosierbass07 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Send it all back with a note saying "This is all junk! Send me Soft Plastic Worms and Lizards Please!!!!!!!!" Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I recently renewed my subscription to Bassmaster too. Last year was my first year. I sent a money order. This year they contacted me by email wanting me to renew by credit/debit card and get those hard baits. There is no way I'm going to give a modern magazine company my credit/debit card numbers. So instead I sent another money order. They took it but only sent me their Bass Essentials 2014 guide (also renewed my subscription), which is what they sent me last year (and exact same 2014 edition). I was still getting emails though asking that I renew and get those free hard baits if I renewed. Apparently the Bassmaster magazine hand does not know what the foot is doing. I will admit out of all the bass magazines I have bought, Bassmaster is probably my favorite. Quote
skeeter1980 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I bacame a lifetime member of BASS back in the 80's,when I fished tournaments.I don't recall the cost, maybe $50.They sent some neat stuff, one being a ring. The ring has a bass in the middle of it,with Lifetime Member, engraved on the ring.I still have the ring, but it won't fit my finger anymore.lol 2 Quote
