Preytorien Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 So Christmas came a bit early for me, I took advantage of Mike Siebert's sale and ordered some of these infamous Rage Bugs I've been seeing all over the place. I rarely do any punching, so would you recommend rigging it T-rig? Weightless? Or is this one of those baits that works pretty much any way you rig it? Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Posted December 5, 2014 There are tons of ways you can rig it... T-rig is a great way! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Posted December 5, 2014 T-rig is fine, so is the Rage Rig and shaky head. However, I have had GREAT luck with the Jika Rig and using the Rage Bug as a Chatterbait trailer! Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted December 5, 2014 Super User Posted December 5, 2014 I primarily use it on weighted 4/0 EWG. But last few weeks of the season, I put it on a Biffle Hardhead swinging jig with fantastic results. Quote

Matthew2000 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 T-rig and rage rig. I caught tons of bass putting them on a unconventional flipping setup, 1/4 oz weight and a 4/0 hook through small surface weeds. That was in a small lake in north east Ohio though. I would drop it on the weeds and shake it till it slipped down in the weeds instead of a straight plunge it worked well In clear water. Also killed on brush piles. Try everything Quote

Super User Shane J Posted December 6, 2014 Super User Posted December 6, 2014 The Bug is great no matter how you rig it. For punching, rig it on a heavy wire 4/0-5/0, and peg your weight on braided line. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted December 6, 2014 Global Moderator Posted December 6, 2014 Ive had the best luck with it Rage rigged. But there really isnt a bad way. Mike Quote
