Pixzilla is normally this to a stock Pixy...... Worm bearing upgrade from bushing... spool bearing upgrade drag upgrade.....Type R already Has handle upgrade IE adding 4 bearings to the handle......Type R I think has only 2 bearings you can add a TDZ line guide, but not necessary Polish of internals upgrade your gears to 6.8.1...........Type R already has I think that covers it... lol Quote

And my Hudd 68 came today (domt even have a rod to throw it on). I am done buying until spring though. Gotta keep the kids and wifey happy for the next few months!! Quote

I put my Px on my veracity and that looks sweet, but i sold it yesterday. Quote

I'm looking at a pixy to upgrade to a Zilla and I love tinkering with reels. I need a reel for pitching and I'm assuming this reel excels due to better spool start up? Are there any other spools that fit the pixy? I'm sure this would be a better pitching reel than a tatula with shallow tatula spool. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted January 12, 2015 Super User Posted January 12, 2015 It may be a very versatile reel, but mine is going on a Falcon Expert Light to do what it was designed to do. Buying this reel about gave me a heart attack even at the $200 discount TW closed them out at. I don't know if the TD-Z 105H and Alphas ito 103ai are considered true finesse reels, but they are the closest I have so the PXL will get the call for that duty. Quote

I think the stock spool would be fine, but you could try the i'ze finesse spool which is very light. Quote
