I own the smallmouth version and love it, I wonder what people are feeling about these new ones that are replacing the smallmouth ones?

Has anyone checked them out, any reviews?

I did a search on here and google and found a few things but not much yet, would like to hear from people what they think.

Thank you!

Yeah, me too.  I have an Elite Tech Smallmouth and several HMGs but I'm curious about the Elite Tech Bass and might make it my next rod purchase as well.

I have one its the mlxf. I posted my review at TW. Not hard to find as its the only one!

Read that one earlier today!

I noticed my one HMG had a damaged guide (last one before the tip) on it over the weekend whenever I was looking over all my gear. I might consider getting one of these rods to replace it.

i too have the ET smallmouth and love it. i've been checking out the new ET bass series and they look good but i've noticed that fenwick (as with most rod makers) are utilizing increasingly skinnier handles (what's going on?? are peoples' hands getting smaller??). i think the handle on the spinning ET smallmouth was perfect but the ones on the ET bass are thinner. fortunately, fenwick didn't go so far as they did with the aetos and the ET bass handles still look comfy.

Too thin a handle is my only complaint about the *** Black baitcast rod I have.  Handles on th Smallmouth aren't what I would call large, but better than the ***.  Smallmouth handle is short which I can adjust to, but takes a few casts after using a rod with what I consider "normal" length.  Smallmouth isn't the only rod with short handles, tho.  Must be another method for making a lighter rod.  Too many wimps out there.  :teeth:

Received one after snapping my smallmouth rod. Had the 6'9mxf (which was absolutely my favourite spinning rod in the world) then replaced it with a 7'mf

the rod balanced (but not as good as the smallie rod), it was noticeably heavier to hold. theres also something that I can't quite put my finger on yet as the water here is all frozen. Sensitivity seems to be there, but I wish I could turn back time and not break that smallie rod

They have made the rod line heavier so you have to go down a power. I also have the 6'9mxf smallmouth rod and love it. The replacement for that rod in this line is the 6'10mlxf.
