Super User Lund Explorer Posted December 31, 2014 Super User Posted December 31, 2014 1970? Sheesh, I thought you meant back-in-the-day By 1970 I was 28 years old, making over $5/hr (uncle Bill was gone) In 1955 the minimum wage was 75 cents/hr, then in 1956 it was raised to $1/hr. Roger Nope, I'm just a kid! I was 14 years old back then, but I did learn one important lesson. Climbing all over vehicles for $10 a day was easier than throwing hay bales in the blazing sun for half that amount! 1 Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted January 5, 2015 Super User Posted January 5, 2015 Yea, I just heard on Fox Radio stocks on energy are selling off at a good clip.... Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 6, 2015 Super User Posted January 6, 2015 The entire market sold off yesterday, about a 500 point drop since Dec 30. One analyst on CNBC thought resistance maybe around $47-$48. Problems in Greece, Europe, strong American dollar and low oil were the contributing factors. Good time to take an overseas vacation, your buck goes along way in other countries now. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 6, 2015 Author Super User Posted January 6, 2015 WTI $47.55 this morning. Looks like $40 is a real possibility! Quote

tipptruck1 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Went up a nickel here I know some one down your way. He said on facebook this morning. That gas jumped 30 cents over night. It dropped 10 over night here. Quote
Matthew2000 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Hottie and Rodger I believe that in Oregon you are not allowed to pump your own gas my cousin who is 22 was asked by my grandma to pump gas and she had no clue. This was 2 years ago I was 12 had to teach a licensed driver how to pump gas. If you look up pictures of dumb people pumping gas you will see just why they banned it. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 7, 2015 Super User Posted January 7, 2015 Yesterday CNBC reported that 18% of the Canadian drillers have closed up shop, that's some of your Keystone Pipeline oil, some Canadian unemployment now. So far here in the US a little less than 2% of the drillers have stopped pumping, not a big deal........yet. The Saudis have said they are NOT increasing the price, that being the case how long will it before more domestic drillers will decide if it's worth staying in business for minimal or no profit. 1 Quote
