I don't weigh crappie but I caught one that was 17" on a 3/4oz spinnerbait slow rolling it on a brushy ledge in about 18' of water one winter. Caught a 15" crappie on a white Horny Toad out of a farm pond. My biggest crappie are almost always while I'm fishing for bass (mainly because I rarely crappie fish).

That's a 3.5-4 inch Yo-Zuri Hardcore jerkbait in this one's mouth.

Not sure about weight, but when I was about 13, I caught one out fishing in a boat in the Tennessee River with my dad and cousin, and it measured 14 1/4", and she was quite plump too, so possibly 2 lbs.

I didn't weigh mine, but it was likely over two pounds, on a Norman N crank bait.  I caught another one nearly the same size on the next cast, then it was over.  Since then, nothing much over a pound.....

Tight lines,

Bob

Have caught two which were between 14 and 15 inches on my favorite lake.  Both times were when fishing a texas-rigged Chigger Craw for bass.  Never caught a single crappie there when actually fishing for them.

lol I can't ever catch crappie while bass fishing even though there are a lot in the lake I fish....

Fish a spook JR in the spring and see if you run into a couple slabs  :D

I did measure mine and it was 16 1/2 in.

I was pretty supprised when I caught it .

To bad it wasn't the lake record it was only 1/2 a lb away!

It sure tasted good though... :)

My Dad and I both caught our own personal bests on the same day (Mother's Day 2013). My Dad's was 17" and mine was 16". Even though my Dad's was only 1 inch longer, the body was so much bigger than mine. See the picture of them side by side.

I don't think we weighed them individually, but combined they weighed 3.5 pounds.

Saw a huge crappie earlier today but it was off color.

Definitely some of my best work.
