My crankbait rod broke today, and I decided it was time for a new one, since I fish cranks so often. It will be strictly for deep divers. Preferably around 7'6", MH/M or MH/M-F. Using it for DD22s, 5XDs, 6XDs, Bomber BD8s, and Koppers deep diving crawfish. Suggestions? Would like to stay under $200.

You can get a dobyns champion cranking 765 for around $200 at TW with TW Black Friday sale. 805 would be even better for the lures you mentioned, if you can handle the 8 ft length. Id take a look at the new powell max 3d as well.

The powell Max I was looking at was composite and I like graphite... How will the 7'5 MH Compostie fish? Will it be better for the deep divers than graphite?

Narrowed it down to the 7'5 MH/Mof-Fast composite Powell Max 3D, and the Kistler KLX 7'3 MH/Mod-Fast Graphite. What do you guys think?

Don't overlook the Lucky Craft rods. They're very nice for $150.

Would you be willing to pay $228.88 for a $315 rod, no sales tax or shipping charges?

Fenwick Aetos 7'6" MH-M, it is rated to 1oz but it can handle 1.25oz no problem and if you cast carefully it will handle close to 2oz. There is also the Fenwick Elite Tech Bass 7'8" MH-M which is a little more stout but either will work fine, and these are graphite rods, I'm not sure if you are looking at composite. I put these out there because I have experience with the Fenwicks and I'm very happy with them and they are in your price range.
