I have a 2000 17' CC with a lot of extras on it and have been thinking about getting rid of it for a bass boat.  I really want one at least 19'.  I believe I could get 8,000 for my CC, so with your opinion, what could I expect to get with that.  I have been looking at craiglist for boats around my area and it looks like a 90's boat.  I know it is a broad question but if you are knowledgeable about bass boats, what would you expect to buy with 8,000(I might be pressed to sell the jon boat too if I could get something good with 9,000, so either 8 or 9).

I have seen a few early 2000's for that price range, Rangers, skeeters, tritons

Same. You could probably get a nineties boat considerably less than that actually. The late 2000s would probably be the top of your price range.

My only advice would be to not limit your price shopping to craigslist.

Check out several of the boat for sale websites such as boattrader.com and check out prices on the websites of local marinas or boat dealers.

Values and prices often vary based on location in the country, so you need to check out as many sources as possible for what the market is where you live.  In my honest opinion, almost everything you find on craigslist in this area is either overpriced, or in such bad shape they couldn't sell it anywhere else.

I have just been looking for references but also have been looking on boattrader and different sites.  I have to sell my center console first but will look around sc, ga, and nc.  Thanks for the insight.

Not ready just yet, I go on a cruise on Saturday for week, so when I get back from that I will clean up my boat and post it.  I hope to get it sold by early January so I can start shopping around then.
