Super User Darren. Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 Can't say as a kid I had any clue what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. At 45 it has come full circle. LOL, yup. Turning 40 brought the inexplicable weight gain. 45? What you said. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 still don't know what i want to do long term, but never really had a job that i wanted to do as a kid. Quote

Super User Felix77 Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 Air Force pilot and/or Astronaut. With my eyesight at the time it was a definite NO. Ended up working on them (indirectly) when I worked for Lockheed Martin earlier on in my career. Quote

Super User buzzed bait Posted December 2, 2014 Super User Posted December 2, 2014 also, would say that the work landscape has changed drastically since i was a kid (not that long ago). In elementary school, i remember word per minute programs, floppy disks and the oregon trail were all the rage in the computer world!!! now, almost every job interacts with a computer in one form or another. would have been hard to even imagine some of the jobs that people get paid for right now! BasshunterJGH Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I want to be a firefighter or science/math teacher. Teacher would be nice because of the hours. Plenty of xtra time for fishing with summers off! Firefighter is definitely a cooler job though.. Quote
jitterbug127 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Growing up i always wanted to become a mechanic, now i am an RN. Cant say i am even close lol. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 3, 2014 Super User Posted December 3, 2014 When I was a kid I wanted to be Evel Knievel. Then the Six Million Dollar Man. Unfortunately, neither of those panned out. In the end, what really matters is that you're happy with yourself. Whether rich or poor or somewhere in the middle, like who you are. The rest will truly work itself out. 1 Quote
