okbassguy Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I've been looking at getting a shimano chronarch what's the difference between the 50e or the 200e7, 201e7 and how does the chronarch perform how impressive is the casting? Quote
JeziHogg Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The 50e has a smaller spool and profile, aswell the 50e is probably the best bang for buck reel for sub 200. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 29, 2014 Super User Posted November 29, 2014 It really boils down to how the reels feel in your hand. I have the Curado 50 & 200 and both the Core 50Mg and 100Mg. My preference is the 50 series. Quote
ColdSVT Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 They arent the smoothest reels on the planet but my goodness are they solid workhorse reels. Set em and go! They will perform like new for years if ya take care of em! I plan to add a 50e to my arsenal this winter Quote
bass1980 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 0 = Right Hand Retrieve 200e 1 = Left Hand Retrieve 201e Quote

They now perform on par with my Core, believe it or not! Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted November 29, 2014 Super User Posted November 29, 2014 Really nice reels. I really like the 50. Know where a nice deal is on some too. Quote

I had Dan at ReelEx supertune a Curado 50E for me and casted side by side on the same rod, line, and bait with a 50MG7, there was no difference in the casting distance between the supertuned 50E and stock Core 50MG7. That's because internally they're pretty much identical. The money in the core is for the magnesium frame. Quote
