*Hank Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 How does this rod preform also how durable is it? thinking of getting it on sale for black friday...! Thanks! Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted November 29, 2014 Super User Posted November 29, 2014 It's not bad for what it is. It's a $50 rof so it's not the lightest. Just a heads up though. It's labeled as a medium but it's a medium heavy. It's stout! Quote
jbw252 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I like it. It's light & strong. And at 6'10", it's a good length for me. The no warranty part is a problem for some people, but the rod isn't that expensive to begin with. Quote
timsford Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Im very happy with mine. Definitely worth the price and its sensitive, especially compared with other rods in that price range. The no warranty deal didnt bother me because im careful with my rods and the way a lot of rod companies warranties work, you end up paying as much as buying a deisel by the time you ship another.rod back and pay a replacement fee. I use mine for plastics, jigs, and the occasional small crank i cant throw on my baitcaster Quote
SK1 Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I bought one on Black Friday last year. Has gotten a lot of use, mostly fishing plastics and has performed well. I really like the rod for the price. Quote
kadas Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Can not beat the Diesel for the price--it is more of a med heavy than med but performs great on plastics and small cranks--glad I bought mine Quote
riverbasser13 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I've been looking forward to adding one of these to the line up for awhile, they look like they would be good for some inshore stuff as well. Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted December 1, 2014 Super User Posted December 1, 2014 I got one from TW in the spring. I still haven't figured out what it is good for. Too long and too stiff for my normal spinning uses -- skipping and finesse flipping plastics; drop shots, etc. It feels good in my hands, but it handles like an old Ugly Stick. Quote

Thought I'd update in case anyone checks back through these for info on Diesel spinning. My my 6'10" became a 6'7" today. Busted fairly clean about half inch above first eye below the tip. Was trying to un-snag a drop shot. I won't say that I don't have some responsibility for the way I was handling it. However, I've only had one other spinning rod break like that in my 40+ years of using them....and that was a $40 combo rod. Quote
