Luv2Fish Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 I got my new airbrush yesterday and was tring it out. The paint that i got with this is Createx water base. ? is, is this a good paint for a begainer to use and do i need to thin it down? Any help would be great. Thanks Quote
BIG M Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 That paint is just fine, I still use some c-tex paint because it's a little thicker than wildlife colors. Get you a piece of 1 inch water pipe and practice painting on that before you tackle the baits. Spray that paint at about 22 psi and you shouldn't run into problems. Use Windex to clean your brush and color cups. Some cut the Windex with water 50/50 but I use straight out of the bottle, you can thin the paint with also. What brush did you get? Quote
Luv2Fish Posted July 11, 2007 Author Posted July 11, 2007 Thanks Big M In got a airbrush kit from Air Brush Depot i guess it is their brush. I hope it is a good one. The guy on the phone talked me into it. Its a ABD Kit 180 Dual Action ABD TA 180 .25mm gravity feed 10cc cup. Tell me, do you think it a good brush or not. Quote
BIG M Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 That is a small tip, you may run into problems shooting pearls. If you do have problems, back the needle out just a little at a time until you get a steady flow of paint. If you have any problems just PM me or post here, I've had may share and may be able to help. Now get to the paint booth and show me what you come up with. Quote
