scfox11 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Went to the pond from 1-4pm, thought it would be decent due to the low pressure system overhead. I didn't take in account of all the rain that just passed but the fish seemed like they were in a high pressure system pattern, big time. I had about 10 short strikes, just nibbles on the tails of my finesse worms, weedless and c-rig. I finally put things together and moved my worms up the hook and line and caught a couple weightless by cover on the bank. Also switched to texas rig and fished cover in about 10' and caught some that way. I also sprayed some garlic scent on the worms. I was initially not happy about fishing with such little luck but then saw the bright side on how I was able to adjust and figure things out to be able to get some fish in the boat. Quote
BaitMonkey1984 Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Consider yourself lucky enough to be getting out fishing, and having some fish interested in your lures. Up here in NE, bass fishing becomes painful after October. A power fisherman by nature, I simply cannot slow down a jig/ jerk bait to a stand still as much as I need for those presentations to be productive this time of year. Thats why I instead head into the woods in search of whitetail. Any time you are on the water, is a chance for you to improve as an angler. And you don't even need a single keeper for that. Quote
Super User Sam Posted November 27, 2014 Super User Posted November 27, 2014 Good report and great thinking and making changes to find the pattern. Keep on casting away and sooner or later the bass will get active again. Quote
