I am mostly a bank fisher so I was looking for something to give me an idea of what the structure is like below. I stumbled on the Deeper Fish Finder online and started to research it. I was about to pull the trigger on it when I read a few bad reviews about Bluetooth connection not working. Anyone have experience with this device?

Thanks in advance

I have used it twice to map out a local pond and on really long casts it did lose connection occasionally. Overall the device and app is incredible so I'm still glad I bought it and can't wait to get out and use it some more.

A similar device, the Vexilar Sonarphone, uses a WiFi connection with up to 100 yard range.

I use the boat mounted/powered transducer version,

There is a portable battery pack version with suction cup transducer mount.

I am interested in the Deeper fish finder as well, but I think it's a little overpriced. Interested to see if anyone else uses it and can give a more in depth opinion.

I have the deeper depth finder now and it seems pretty good. You loose connection sometimes but just a reconnect and things are ok. The only drawback I see is weight and the battery. I always throw under hand to make sure that it doesn't get snapped off with braid by accident. The battery lasts a decent time if you just want to get an idea of the depth and what might be underneath the water like cover. The battery discharges fast when just being stored so you have to remember to give it a charge now and then. Note that you can not change the battery once it has reached its life, it will have to be sent back to switch out the battery.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with these units? Seems interesting, and it is on the higher end (according to price range) of the cast-able fish finders.
Looking to buy!
