Super User SirSnookalot Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Never have seen snow that deep. One good thing about living in Detroit was giving Buffalo our weather. My only issue is what beach I'm fishing at this morning. Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 The only thing better than getting to play in three feet of snow, is listening to the hillbillies having to deal with one inch of it. The only survival tip I can offer is that Vodka doesn't freeze solid! 1 Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 I'll take this snow over blazing heat/humidity from April-Oct. I have lived in the south during the summer, there is a reason I am back in the arctic. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Gonna be 60 Sunday and Monday and melt it all Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Better build an ark. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 That 5 - 5 record isn't helping their cause any . . . . . . A-Jay Neither will playing a home game in Detroit with no practice! It gives me great pleasure to see Bills fans moping around, lol. Quote

Super User Lund Explorer Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Ice goes in your tea...not on the ground. Ice has some very practical uses. It can used to reduce swelling or ease the ache of sore muscles. It can give the shore bound angler the chance to reach many parts of a lake that they can only look at during the summer. And most importantly, it does a really good job when thrown into a cooler on top of a 12-Pack of barley pop during those long hot summers! Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Looks like it's finally over for the most part. I got called and asked if I wanted to go on state active duty to go dig people out I declined that offer fast lol. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Took me from 10:30 or so this morning till noon to dig my jeep out, and we only had a foot or so. Drove up to my elderly grandfathers house and cleaned the mess up there, not nearly as bad. He has a decent snow blower, and he only got 6-8" as he was on the western most fringe of the storm. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 No real measurable snow by me, though my commute last night was one hour for a 12 mile drive up 590. It took 45 minutes this morning. Apparently snow is not a prerequisite for pile ups on 590. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 All the semis are taking 104 since the 90 is closed takes me 15 min longer to get to work just due to the convoy of semis still trying to move their shipment. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted November 21, 2014 Super User Posted November 21, 2014 Seems like 31 would be a better option. Quote
wnybassman Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Best I can figure is we got 30-32 inches total between the two events, although with the ground still being warm it has settled out to a couple feet now. Routes 20, 19 and 63 were parking lots last night, but delivering mail on them today you would never know it, most were bared off to pavement. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted November 22, 2014 Super User Posted November 22, 2014 Seems like 31 would be a better option. To many little towns and lights. Once out of rochester it's all 55 and straight shot to the fallsAnd 31 was in the snow belt for the most part. My gf in Holley has like 2" go a mile north to 104 and nothing, mile south to 31 and there is about 12" Quote
