Good deal. I think you will like it. The reel also palms well too like Core 100MG7 and Chronarch D. Casting distance and ease of casting are excellent. I find the external adjustments to be quite easy to use and adjust for different baits and wind conditions. The retrieve is beyond smooth and the clicking drag is a nice touch too.

Yes first Exscence DC for me. It's replacing a calais dc for a lot less money. Hopefully I will really like it.

My condolences for the lost Calais DC...

Does that balance out well with the heavier grip?

A bag of Z-Man lizards.

Not much but $3 at Walmart so I said why not. Zoom isn't even usually that cheap.

Picked up another Spro Fat John 60 in Chrome Olive, and a Lucky Craft Fat CB BDS 2 in Gunmetal Shad, the flashy lures drive SM and LM crazy at my local lake. The water is crystal-clear almost all the time, and the flash imitates Kokanee really well. For those that dont know what Kokanee are, they are a type of sockeye salmon, they have blue backs, and bright chrome sides.

siebert got me for another 10 jigs last week. I didn't expect to be ordering more so soon but I lost one of my new bladed jigs to one of those toothy northerns, plus I needed some footballs and arkys anyway so why not i know they're good quality.

It balances right at the reel seat.

That's awesome!  I really like using burl/burnt/composite cork on heavy power rods that are over 7'.  That little bit of extra weight from the burl cork really aids in balance.

The measurement from butt end to the trigger measures 11.5". I like a longer handle so it tucks under by forearm when I need more leverage.

I could tell it was pretty long.   11.5" is about my limit on normal casting rods, 10"-11" is where I like most of my handles.  That's the great thing about customs, you can make it however you like.

Hi, my name is Paul. And I'm a fishaholic.

Well my boats been in the shop awhile going through a repower so while i am down ive been cleaning up thw tackel room and making some upgrades.

It started with 4 Okuma Helios TCS reels in various ratios. I paired those with 4 No. 8 Blackouts purpose chosen for cranking, flipping, spinners, and soft plastics. I then realised I had a couple of deep cranking rods with no reels so I picked up a couple of Abu Orra winches. Then I saw a deal on the flea market for some Okuma citrix reels and couldn't pass it up. There is also a sale happening for model year 2015 Castaway Skeleton Rods, so I picked up a trio of them to match the new citrix reels. All told its been an expensive couple of months for hardwarwe. Not to mention the TWH terminal tackel and bait orders.

On the bright side I should be in good shape for fishing the fall/winter here in Fl.

Step 1 admit you have a problem...

NAh- I'm still in denial.

I was doing good for a while, but the tackle monkey got me really good yesterday and today.

Yesterday I picked up a St. Croix LTB 6'8" M/FF to pair with my Daiwa PXL-R. (I also had to order the sapphire blue dress up parts from Hedgehog Studio)

I also grabbed a Loomis E6X Dropshot rod in the Mag Med.

Then today I ordered a bunch of new reel covers and rod sleeves. While ordering those I also ordered the new Daiwa Fuego spinning reel in the 2000 size.

Now the misery of waiting for the deliveries!

I picked up a LC Slender Pointer 97 MR in Original Tennessee Shad, LC1.5 in BE Gill, and a LC1.5RTO in Gun Metal. Also grabbed a few more Japan Exclusive Megabass Vision 110's.

Trying my hand at tying some jigs.

Made few orders over the last several weeks, which got me:

-A jig skirt-making kit and a few Arky heads from Barlow's

-Some Brush and Grass Heads from Siebert Outdoors in a few different colors

-Some more skirt material from TW.

Never done this before, but I was inspired by my little collection of Siebert jigs (the handiwork of which I've been examining closely) to give it a shot.

After a little trial-and-error on the first several attempts, here's the first bunch I really like, all made from the stuff I ordered above:

post-49427-0-16921000-1445020446_thumb.j

(All Siebert Brush and Grass heads, except for a Barlow Arky head left middle)

I think I'm getting the hang of it!

Still have some more heads from those orders yet to use:

I'll probably order a bunch more heads next month...

Those jigs definitely look hand tied and professional. I bet they fish just as good as they look.

Nice jigs!

I needed a few Plano 3601 boxes (love them- I can fit double the boxes in any given tackle bag) and that ballooned into a $120 order from TW. I caught 3 PB bass in the last 2 days; all on spinnerbaits, and I have decided I quite like spinnerbaits and don't have nearly enough. :)

Daiwa 50lb braid

Two packs of Hayabusa wacky hooks (weighted and un-weighted weedless)

And the Green TW hat

Not too bad, for just over $130.

Nice order, the Lexa has been staring at me for a long time. Let us know how you like it. I have a hard time budging from Lew's at this point, they've treated me so well.

The Lexa has been killing me for a while.  Haven't fished it yet, but for $60...it has an aluminum frame, side plate, and spool, 7 bearings, and a pretty nice handle/grips.  Haven't fished it yet, but so far so good.

Had a new F&S open up about 20 minutes away from me which is awesome for me but bad for my bank account. Got these today for $24. They had a bogo 50% off and the cashier had a coupon she scanned on top of that so I figure I made out pretty good. Also got a Tatula last weekend which I really enjoyed fishing with.
