Super User Jrob78 Posted September 23, 2015 Super User Posted September 23, 2015 Got an I Love Hard Bait order in today. 2 Quote
Evan K Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I'm jealous of all the hard baits! This showed up today. The Lady President is for my wife. Lews MB Tournament baitcaster (5.6:1), Pfleuger President (25 size), Pfleuger Lady President (30 size), St. Croix Premier Ultralight spinning rod, 6' F. Funny story on the UL rod; bought it on eBay from a seller with only 32 feedback. Was a little hesitant but all the feedback was positive, so I went with it. Rod was only $90. Turns out the package shipped from Bass Pro Shops in Springfield, and inside with the rod was a BPS packing slip and returns paper. Not sure how the seller is affiliated with BPS but whatever, looks like a great rod. Quote

Super User Jrob78 Posted September 24, 2015 Super User Posted September 24, 2015 I picked up a few swimbaits too. 2 Quote
poisonokie Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 Those galantrels look awesome for sure. I'm thinking my flip stick will be perfect for one of those bad boys. It's getting to be that time of year, too. Hmmmm... You guys need to stop poking my bait monkey. It's becoming a 500# gorilla. Quote
poisonokie Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I picked up a few swimbaits too. That's a good idea for stowing those treble hooks. Guess I'll have to pocket a bunch of twist ties next time I'm in the produce section. Quote

Guess I'll have to pocket a bunch of twist ties next time I'm in the produce section. I use those little dental rubberbands to tie up all my treble hooks on baits. It only takes a second to do and keeps baits from getting tangled. Quote
dcmclassic Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 How many of you guys fish those treble hook swimbaits in stump fields? I've wanted to get one but too afraid to hang it up. Quote

MDBowHunter Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 How many of you guys fish those treble hook swimbaits in stump fields? I've wanted to get one but too afraid to hang it up.I fish them anywhere, at least the ones that dont dive so deep as I can get them if they get snagged. The Gantrel for example only dives 3' so if it does get snagged it pretty easy to get back with a telescoping lure retriever. Quote

Evan K Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Just ordered some bizz baits to try them. Two no8 casting rods and one no8 spinning rod. I've heard a lot of good things about Number 8 rods. Let us know how you like them! Quote
jhc1 Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 I've heard a lot of good things about Number 8 rods. Let us know how you like them! This may get me in trouble, but there have been several posts from members who comented on the quality of these rods, but they were seemingly deleted. I only know this because I responded to a good number of them and couldn't access the thread when I went to check for replies. Nonetheless, I'm still curious to see how these rods compare to a Fenwick HMG. Quote

thomas15 Posted September 25, 2015 Posted September 25, 2015 Here is my latest purchase.... Tried everything to get them orientated correctly to no avail. First megabass and evergreen purchase. A River2Sea and Lucky Craft. Also going to try out the ned rig. 2 Quote
Super User bigbill Posted September 26, 2015 Super User Posted September 26, 2015 I just received 20 packages of senkos. Have another order going in. 1 Quote
Dogmatic Posted September 26, 2015 Posted September 26, 2015 I picked up a few swimbaits too. Gotta let us know how you do with your 3:16, I haven't been able to buy a bite, I'm hoping it starts producing next spring. I didn't have mine until late in the season, so I didn't get to throw it during, what I think, would be "prime time". Quote
